Kitchen Sink Style

In designing a kitchen, there are several aspects that call for particular attention: smooth ventilation and daylighting; kitchen door should not be installed across toilet door; slide door design would make it easier to open or close the door. L shape kitchens place the three major work centers, including washing, arranging and cooking, respectively to the interlocked L shape wall space. U shape kitchens have two corners in the work space. The sink should be better placed at the bottom of the U shape and the diet arrangement and cooking areas should be separately attached to both sides of the sink to create a right triangle by sink, fridge and kitchen utensils. Corridor shaped kitchens place work area parallel on each side. Given enough space, dining table could be arranged at the end of the kitchen.

For whatever shape of kitchen, the ideal width for sink and each work bench is 80 centimeter. Meanwhile, the washing sink of the kitchen should not be placed at the corner. The minimum size of the counter top on one side of the sink should be 45 centimeter and 61 for the other. In order to leave space for passage in the kitchen, the width of the passage should be 76 to 91 centimeter.

Tips on how to choose a kitchen sink
1. The width of the sink is determined by the width of the cupboard table, normally, sink width should be 10-15 centimeter shorter than table width.
2. To clean stainless steel sink, the thickness of material should be proper. If the sink is too thin, it would affect the durability and strength of the sink, if too thick, it would potentially damage the utensils. In addition, smoothness of the stainless surface should be taken into consideration. Rough surface indicates poor quality.
3. Under normal circumstances, a kitchen sink with bigger capacity is more functional. Ideal depth is 18 centimeter, which provides splash resistance.
4. Surface processing should emphasize both beauty and practicality. The welding junction calls for close attention, and the welding line should be smooth and rustless.
5. Pleasant appearance, reasonable design, overflow port is preferred.
